Pricing a painting project varies on many factors. Type of paint, number of coats, number of colors, amount of surface repairs, changes in material costs, etc. We have a exterior paint pricing guide for your convenience.
This depends on the amount/severity of the damage. Gardiner Paint can perform carpentry repairs like siding and drywall, but we also have resources for jobs that require larger amounts of carpentry before we paint. We are happy to recommend locally-owned, Colorado Springs contractors we have great relationships with to help you finish a project.
There is no requirement for you to be home during the painting process, but that is up to you. Exteriors can be painted with minimal involvement from occupants once the project has started.
Sometimes we may have questions, so it’s good to have someone there at the beginning. Our crews will work with our project coordination team to make sure you get daily updates on progress.
We strictly use Sherwin-Williams paint and materials to maintain a high-quality, long-lasting appearance and our paint volume helps you get the lowest possible price per gallon. Using your own paint can be accommodated, but our warranty is void once we use external paint products.

Exterior paint seems dry after just a few hours, but it can take a few weeks to cure properly. Gardiner Painting makes sure the weather is just right for the best possible results. Most of our residential painting customers get their exteriors fully-painted in less than four days.
Yes. Our Sherwin-Williams paints are rated to 35-degrees and rising! Colorado winters fluctuate so much with temperature that many exterior projects can be completed with just a few days of warmer weather. We’ve painted homes in the holiday season many times.
All of our Sherwin-Williams interior paint is low VOC or Zero VOC paint. There will be no heavy smells or chemical odors.
In most scenarios, using a sprayer is faster, cleaner and provides superior results to rolling paint. Painting with a sprayer does not sacrifice quality and our painters “back roll” wherever additional attention is needed to spread paint deeper into areas. Using a roller immediately after spraying can help the paint penetrate damaged areas and saturate into every seam or corner of surface. This also prevents “flashing” and helps additional paint touch ups blend. We also prime all damaged areas to ensure proper paint adhesion.
Interior painting is estimated by the condition of the interior walls, ceilings, and trim. Also, to what level the customer wants to repair. Gardiner Painting usually repairs any issues with the drywall or caulking, trim is repaired, and texture is added where necessary. This is all before priming and painting.

Our climate is hard on exterior paints – using a high-quality paint will help protect your home for a lot longer.
A home around 2000 square feet will need around 8 gallons of paint to properly coat base and trim with one coat. In Colorado Springs, more paint is needed to reach the proper millage (thickness) to withstand our harsh weather. We apply two coats minimum for each exterior paint project.
Yes! All Gardier Painting quotes include materials and labor for the project. We can’t speak for everyone else, but we don’t like to change the price once we quote it. Our work is guaranteed for five years and Sherwin-Williams paint has a lifetime warranty.
Colorado Springs has big fluctuations in weather temp, humidity, and can send hail down without too much warning. Between June and October is usually the most consistent weather for painting exteriors. That said, our Sherwin-Williams paints are rated for 35 degrees and rising. We have painted exteriors in December when the weather allows.
